SGFL Catalytic Reforming Unit Project

Project Overview

The Catalytic Reforming Unit (CRU) EPC Project represents a key milestone in advancing Bangladesh’s energy self-sufficiency and industrial value addition. EIDL was entrusted with delivering the design, engineering, HAZOP study, procurement, supply, construction, installation, testing, pre-commissioning, startup, and handover of a 3,000 BBL/day capacity Semi-Regenerative Catalytic Reforming Unit (CRU) with all associated facilities at Rashidpur, Bahubal, Habiganj, Bangladesh, on a turnkey basis.

This critical gas processing infrastructure, developed under Sylhet Gas Fields Limited (SGFL), plays a vital role in condensate processing and recovery, producing refined petroleum products from natural gas by-products — a significant contribution to the country’s downstream energy infrastructure and sustainable industrial growth.

Scope of Work

Energypac Infrastructure & Development Ltd. (EIDL) executed the complete EPC package, covering:

  • Detailed engineering design and layout of the CRU plant

  • Procurement and supply of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems

  • Construction of process units, storage facilities, and utility systems

  • Civil, structural, and piping works with quality inspection and testing

  • Integration of control systems and safety interlocks

  • Commissioning, performance testing, and technical documentation
